Is the method to find the BFM Score copyrighted?
No. If algorithms were copyrighted, the world would be a much messier place to live in. However, if you use it, a link to this site would be appreciated.

Why is the NIFTY index included in the graphs?
The NIFTY index (ICICI Prudential Index fund) closely follows the actual NSE Nifty Index. If a fund performs worse than the index (over a prolonged period of time), it means it is not worth investing in the fund since, we could get better returns just by putting our money in the index itself.

I can find my fund in the watchlist, but it is not ranked?
The fund is older than 2 years but not 2.5 years. Its ranking will appear once it is "old enough". Some dividend-yielding funds may also be included in the watchlist, but they will never appear in the ranking.

I don't find my favorite equity fund here. I know it has given great results.
The fund is probably a new fund (less than 2.5 years old) or a dividend fund. In rare cases, it may happen that the fund scheme code has been modified at the AMFI website, from where we retrieve the NAV everyday. In case you find an "old" fund missing, please send us an email at feedback@broker-free.com

The tax-saving funds has not listed many ELSS funds?
Correct. Many tax-saving funds are dividend funds. It is so, because they enable unit holders to gain cash, after deductions under section 80C. Though legal, it is against the spirit of the law. Anyway, since this site is pretty well-automated, such individual cases cannot be handled.

Who are you? And why is this site here?
The name is Anoop Ramanujam (no relation to the original Ramanujan ;). I have a fairly high interest in mathematics and mutual funds, and a technical degree in Computer Science. Hence, this site.
